  Is it advisable to have root canal process on kids below 5 years if a particular tooth is damaged due to cavity.

  Yes . Every tooth at any age is important. If the tooth can be saved it should definiytely be saved even for a kid of 5 years of age, If the tooth is extracted than it may create problems in the eruption of the permanent tooth.
