Braces are attachments on the teeth. Invisalign is a new kind of treatment which can be done in mild cases. The treatment is done by a series of aligners. The advantage is that the aligners are almost transparent. Pls see image below.

Sealanst are usually done in children above 6 years of age.

However they are required in children below 4 years of age if there are too many cavities in the childs mouth.

Pls send an email to : smilesbyveeren@gmail.com with the subject line : SEND SELANTS PRESENTATION and we will send it to you.

    Before sealants

Please see a developing cavity above.

    after sealants

The cavity is sealed with sealants.

As long as the sealants are in place the cavity will not increase.

Yes whitening has to be dentist supervised.

Teeth whitening is an awesoem procedure and produces beautiful results. Pls see image below.

However, it must be doen by a dentist in the clinic and should not be attempted at home. Thanks for raising this topic.

There are a few fluoride toothpastes ( Amflor, Kid-o-dent) and fluoride mouthwashes ( Amflor ) available. These are OTC products and should be available in any medical store.

There is no specific mouthwash for corona times. Those who are having gum disease can use a chorhexidene mouth wash once a day.

Children between the ages of 6 to 13 years of age must use a fluoride mouthwash once at night.

Besides everyone must brush twice a day , use an oral irrigator and floss once a day.

In our clinic all precautions pertaining to corona are taken and hence routine dental care must not be avoided.

All extracted teeth must be replaced by a suitable artificial teeth.

Basically there are 3 types of artificial tooth available :

    1. A removable denture . There are various types of dentures.

    2. A fixed bridge. These are fabricated after grinding the front and back teeth

    3. A dental implant.

A dental implant is the best kind of artificial tooth.

Fluoride application has to be done by dental surgeons for every child . Also sealants need to be applied on childrens teeth.

Besides regular dental checkups are required.
